Summer Gardenтриптих

Summer Garden comes from a more personal source. Lilies, peonies and roses are flowers I associate with the gardens of my childhood and with the oversized bouquets gathered for the first day of school. I reconstructed them as three monochrome reliefs, removing the colour that would normally distinguish one flower from another. Unlike the other works in Florals, this triptych does not begin with an art-historical image, but with a remembered one.
