Thomas Blinks painted hunting scenes at a time when the horse, the hunt and country life carried strong associations with class and status. His work belongs to the visual culture surrounding the social and economic changes of late nineteenth-century Britain. In Hunting Party, I take this highly traditional image and reconstruct it using a production method associated with a very different industrial moment. The contrast between subject and method is precisely why Blinks belongs in Industrija.
